Online Turkish School

Mahmut started teaching Turkish 5 years ago when he signed up for a language exchange website to improve his English skills and found himself enjoying teaching his own language much more than he would have ever expected.  Now, he teaches part-time at Beverly Hills Lingual Institute and still maintains a few private clients he teaches both online and across Los Angeles.  Realizing that there is a global demand for online Turkish classes and a centralized learning community, he decided to venture into this online space to offer live and on-demand classes to help more people learn in a convenient way.

Background: Mahmut was born in Eskisehir, Turkey and moved to Istanbul in 2004 to attend Marmara University.  Prior to moving to the United States in 2017, Mahmut was a human resources professional with 9 years of business experience at Yıldız Holding in Istanbul.  Besides his work as a Turkish teacher, he also works in an import / export company in Los Angeles.  In his spare time Mahmut enjoys watching movies & documentaries, playing basketball & Fortnite, listening to music, working out, and hanging out with his wife, Julia, and Turkish Angora cats, Belle & Bala.
